A Passion for Midwifery Care and Lactation Support

Being a part of someone's journey throughout pregnancy, birth and postpartum is the most rewarding and soul fulfilling for me. Every person is a whole world of experiences and desires and it is so important to take that into account when caring for someone during a paramount time in their lives. It is my goal to support and guide people through this time and help them achieve their goals, while maintaining autonomy, health and wellbeing.

Hi! I'm Liorit

I have been a midwife since 2014 and have since then offered care in multiple settings. Being a midwife is who I am and not what I do! I have supported many families throughout pregnancy, birth and postpartum. I have helped many throughout their baby's feeding journey's as well. My goal is always to meet you where you are and then customize a plan together that will work best for you and your family. Navigating parenthood myself, I've birthed two kids and breastfed them until around a year old, my oldest was born in a birth center and my youngest at home, both in the care of midwives.

A more gentle, holistic approach to pregnancy, birth and postpartum care in the comfort of your home.

From prenatal visits, where anyone who you choose to participate is welcome. A homebirth attended by a CNM and a birth assistant. Multiple postpartum visits which include lactation support.

Breastfeeding is natural, but is still a skill needed to learn to achieve your feeding goals.

Whether you are planning to exclusively breastfeed, exclusively pump or any other combination, I can be there to help and guide you on this journey.

Wellness Visits & GYN & Family planning

You don't have to leave your house when you need your annual physical and wellness screens (such as cervical cancer screening). Your midwife can come to you! Even for more specific reasons such as vaginal infections or STI screening. I am at your cervix :)

Lio is an absolute joy and I feel like she came into my life at the right time for a reason.
I really wanted a vaginal birth and in a calm setting with someone I trusted. Having had a history of rape and sexual abuse growing up, I was worried my body wouldn't allow me to have a vaginal birth despite all the of the therapy (including EMDR) that I had done to heal myself and also to prepare for my birth.

My birth was such a calm and beautiful experience and Lio even asked my husband if he wanted to catch our daughter, which he did! The entire pregnancy, including postpartum, I felt very supported. I had some postpartum anxiety and Lio put me at ease.

I honestly can't recommend Lio enough for all things perinatal. She really feels like one of my most trusted friends when needed and the biggest cheerleader. I pushed for 2.5 hours, which felt like an eternity, but because of Lio's support, I was able to successfully have a vaginal birth and the type of birth I wanted.

I can't thank you enough for being such a valuable person in my life and my family's life. You're really one of a kind and such an amazing resource for this birth world!

Lio…where do I begin. It feels silly even giving her 5 stars because she's way more than that. She's thousands, millions!

I wish every new mama could experience prenatal, birth and postpartum care at the hands of Lio. The experience of bringing a child into this world is one you will never forget. And I will never forget the way she made me feel–which was loved, validated and listened to. All the things you want throughout the process.

Lio is absolutely wonderful!

My labor was very long, however, Lio continuously kept me, my husband, and my doula, informed and educated on all steps. She was extremely encouraging, followed our birth preferences, and offered options that still fit our values when labor wasn't going how we "planned". The birth room was calm and serene, in great part to her and steadfast calming energy she embodies.

I felt as though she was the whole package - encouraging, understanding, empathetic, empowering, comforting, and kind. Overall, I felt understood and left the hospital feeling empowered despite having to make some changes to our plan. We even had great conversation in the duller moments between contractions, which was very much welcomed!

We love Lio!

I am so thankful Lio was my midwife for my third baby.

I had birthing trauma with my first two babies because of a different Dr and Lio was completely different; she was so patient and communicated everything with me when I asked a million questions. Having a lot of anxiety for this third baby was hard but Lio made me feel comfortable and important enough that she called me after hours to answer a question. She always made sure to explain things to me so I was fully informed in all my decisions.

She is just incredible. I needed urgent help with mastitis and made time for me immediately. She is so kind and welcoming, so knowledgeable, and has been checking in on me multiple times a day to make sure everything is going well! Can't recommend her enough!

I am extremely grateful for Lio. She delivered my second child.

The birth was complicated and extremely intense due to size and position and she stayed right by my side for almost the entire time I was laboring.

She was calm and steady and I knew I was in extremely capable hands. She is the reason I was able to birth a 10 lb baby naturally. She was equally amazing through my pregnancy and postpartum period. She is such a grounded and skilled practitioner. She always calmed my anxieties (of which there were many!). When I went to see her for a routine checkup several months later, she caught an autoimmune disease I didn't know I had. I am extremely grateful it was caught so early.

I highly recommend Lio for any type of midwifery care! She is amazing!!!!

Lio was such an amazing blessing in our birth story!

She was down to earth and so comfortable to be around. She went above and beyond for our family as I'm sure she does for all her clients and was all we could have hoped for in a midwife. She helped us feel confident and heard in our decisions and was strong and calm whilst never putting any pressure on us. Before, during and after the birth Lio was very supportive and empowering.

It has been a few years since I worked side by side with this precious soul… yet some things you just HAVE to speak to.
Being in the birth world for 25 years, I've seen a LOT…. Things that have etched their way into my memory both good & tough.

Lio is among the BEST. Her tender yet strong presence, gentle guidance & ability to facilitate parents desire patiently & selflessly… a rare gift!

As a L&D RN I was grateful to work alongside her… the way she worked, if I was walking this path myself she'd be one of the first I'd call upon.

Thank you Lio for your part in opening my eyes & heart to the importance of simply "holding space" to allow bodies to do what they were created to do. Never leaving safety aside. Go continue to do the GREAT things you do. Families are being shaped in very meaningful ways because of your presence!!!!
